Simulation of Stress Waves
Download Item #1 is a file named "WaveSetup.exe" which contains an animated simulation of the propagation and reflection of impact-generated stress waves in a concrete slab. It uses text and animation to explain the physical principles of impact-echo. Click on the line below to start the download process. The "WaveSetup.exe" file is approximately 2MB in length, and may require 20 minutes or more to download over a modem.
When WaveSetup.exe is run, it will install the simulation on your computer in the directory "c:\wave animation" and will create a startup icon labeled "Wave Animation" on your desktop screen and in your start menu.
Download Item #2: "SetupDemo.exe" Demo Version of
Impact-Echo Software
Download Item #2 is a file named "SetupDemo.exe" which will install a fully functioning demonstration version of impact-echo software, ImpactDemo, plus a file of real test data that can be opened and examined. ImpactDemo has all the capabilities of the impact-echo operating software (Impact-E) except the capability to support testing. If used together with the "User's Manual" (Download Item #3) it provides a short self-teaching course that introduces the use and capabilities of the impact-echo method. The "IESetup" file is approximately 2MB in length, and may require 20 minutes or more to download over a modem.
When "SetupDemo.exe" is run, it will install ImpactDemo software and the file of test data (TestFile.dat) on your computer in the directory "c:\impactdemo", and will create a startup icon labeled "IimpactDemo" on your desktop screen and in your start menu.

Instruction Manual for Use with Demo Software
Download Item #3 is a file named "IEManual.exe", a 60-page instruction manual designed for use with the ImpactDemo software. The manual is in Microsoft Word format. When used together with ImpactDemo software and data file, it provides an introduction to the impact-echo method and its capabilities.
When "IEManual.exe" is run, it will install the Microsoft Word file, "Download Manual", in the directory "C:\IE User's Manual".
